Exploring how I create tarot/oracle spreads through a new one to help you shorten the way

I’ve been working on a new tarot/oracle spread inspired by a recent session with my magiqal chevruta

How do we bring the future into the now? How do we shorten the way?

Yes, okay, it’s also inspired by seeing Dune II and its use of the really archaic Jewish magiqal concept of kefitzat haderech, “shorting the way” or “path jumping.”

But when

did a QHD reading for me, we realized we’re both “Time Benders” in that system (albeit in different ways), which also led to conversations about time… (more later).

And in our practice of Tehomic Magiq, we play with the concept:

So all of that was swirling in my head, and suddenly I started seeing a spread to help with path jumping or getting unstuck.

I decided to sketch out the spread using digital drawing program called Procreate that also lets me export a time-lapse video of my drawing.

Kefitzat HaDerech Spread

1) What from the past is relevant and important right now?

2) What in the future can you use as a tether?

3 & 4) What obstacles or challenges are between you and the future that is possible?

5) What can help you shorten the way — i.e. bridge the gap between now and the future that is possible?

6) What are the potential negative consequences of making this jump?

7) What the potential positive consequences of making this jump?

Generally when I read, I pull all the cards for a spread THEN do the interpretation. But in this case, I think it will work best to pull each card (or card grouping) and then read that piece — pulling it together as you go.

I immediately envisioned this with a tarot or oracle deck AND the Tessera Oracle, which I love using with cards. And of course it would work great with Eit/Aht: a Netivot Wisdom Oracle as the primary deck.
