Welcome to the Moon of Dreaming
In my naming of the moons, Kislev is the moon of dreaming. This time of year we are moving towards a crossroads of the darkening to beginning of the rebirth of light. On Hanukkah, we re-kindle the light in our hearts as we prepare for the light of the sun to return to our world.
In the system of my teacher, RK’Jill Hammer, winter is the season of water and fire. We have water in abundance and are in need of fire. In the winter the days grow shorter and we rely on fire more and more for its light and warmth. People of many faith traditions light the outsides of their homes or place candles in the windows to ward off the literal and metaphorical darkness of the season.
It is the season of night, in the Northern Hemisphere. But as Jews, we know not to fear the night — because nightfall is the beginning of a new day for us. Watch the night fall. Look for the stars. Wherever you can see them, is home, because Shekinah corresponds to the west - so whenever we greet the setting sun - we embrace her presence in the world. Zhe returns with the night, so we may dream the world to come into the world that is.
Eit/Aht: A Netivot Wisdom Oracle
I just checked and I only have about 50 copies of the Netivot Wisdom Oracle, 2nd Edition left!
For Hanukkah, I’ve put together a special Deluxe Bundle that includes:
The 53 card deck and booklet
A physical copy of 200+ page workbook
A digital copy of the workbook
Your choice of digital images of 4 cards for personal use (print for altar, ritual, phone backgrounds, etc)
AND… a digital copy of the Devotaj Sacred Arts Hanukkah Haggadah (personal use license).
Hanukkah Haggadah
Why yes, I have created a Hannukah Seder!
This fun, family friendly haggadah brings together stories, food, and family to explore the many themes behind Hanukkah, including its connections to the winter solstice. Buy once and make as many copies for personal use as you like.
My Hanukkah seder features four stories associated with Hanukkah, and does not center the “Maccabee Miracle.” It also is designed around four “courses” related to those stories: fish or soup, olive oil, root vegetables, and cheese.
It is available for $5 as a downloadable PDF for personal use (as many printouts as you need), or various other license options for sharing the digital file or community/synagogue gatherings.
Stick & Stitch Patterns
There are now two stick & stitch patterns in stock and several more on the way including Lilith, Doikayt Baba Yaga, and two based on a 18th Century (CE) grimoire!

Each kit comes with the 1-time use patterns you see and each comes with a digital download exploring Embroidery as a Sacred Practice as well as others specific to the patterns in the kit.
Auntie Ketzirah’s Tea Room
This time last year I gave us all a Hanukkah present by creating Auntie Ketzirah’s Tea Room on Discord! As a way station for Jewish witches and witchy Jews, some times it’s busy and sometimes it’s cozy and quiet.
Just over 100 people have joined the Discord server, and we’ve been having some delightful conversations.
