Elul 5782 begins at sundown on 8/27/22.

In my naming of the moons Elul is the Moon of Making Space. Rav Kohenet, Rabbi Jill Hammer teaches that in in Elul “we become hollow to see what we will create in the space we make. We do tzimtzum, self-contraction, in memory of the first moment of making.”
